2005. Louise with childrens choir performers from Shawnee National Forest IL, at the Smithsonian Folk Life Festival, 100th Anniversary of the United States Forestry Service celebration. The choir was performing “The New Century Creators,” a series of songs writen by Louise for the event.

Louise has written several books for children. And, these books have become the inspiration for conservation programs all over the United States

1997. At the annual meeting of the National Association of State Foresters (NASF), children who were participating in Louise’s program are passing out packets to the foresters. The packets contained a book writen by Louise titled “Children of the Forest,” and a booklet explaining her concept of a childrens forest for every state.
